Hamas receives Trump's final ultimatum: Negotiations possible?

US President Donald Trump has issued a "final warning" to the Islamic terrorist organization Hamas, urging them to accept diplomatic solutions before Israel's impending large-scale offensive in Gaza.

Trump's call comes as a U.S.-brokered ceasefire proposal has been presented to Hamas, calling for an immediate halt to Israeli military operations in Gaza in exchange for the immediate release of all Israeli hostages held by Hamas. The proposal, if accepted, would involve the handover of all 48 hostages, both living and dead, on the first day of a ceasefire.

Israel has agreed to the conditions, including the release of up to 3,000 Palestinian prisoners by Israel as part of the deal. The new proposal is reportedly being "seriously considered" in the circle of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, according to the "Times of Israel".

However, the Israeli military continued airstrikes on the densely populated city of Gaza in the northern part of the sealed coastal region on Sunday. Relatives of the Hamas-held hostages, as well as the Israeli military leadership, fear that a military takeover of the city would endanger the lives of the captives.

Hamas terrorists are reported to have installed information-gathering equipment and set up observation posts in the bombed high-rise buildings. Most of the living hostages are believed to be in the Hamas tunnels below the city of Gaza.

The Israeli army has designated a humanitarian zone in the southern Gaza Strip and urged residents to move there. By Sunday, less than 100,000 people had left the city, leaving almost a million people still living in the war-torn region.

Trump reiterated his call for the immediate release of hostages, stating that "everyone wants the hostages to be freed." Hamas, on the other hand, is ready for "immediate negotiations" and has stated it is ready to discuss the release of all hostages in exchange for a clear statement on the end of the war, a full withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, and the establishment of a committee of independent Palestinians to manage the Gaza Strip.

Upon the declaration of a ceasefire, negotiations over the conditions for ending the war will begin, including Israel's demand for the disarmament of Hamas and Hamas' demand for a full withdrawal of Israeli forces from the Gaza Strip. Hamas has stated that it is in contact with mediators to work out these ideas into a comprehensive agreement that meets their demands.

Trump has warned that if Hamas does not accept his conditions, Israel will carry out the announced large-scale offensive against the city of Gaza. The world watches as the situation in Gaza continues to escalate, with the fate of the hostages hanging in the balance.
