Hamilton prospering despite pre-Italian Grand Prix penalty

In the heart of Italy, the Formula 1 racing scene gathers at Monza for the much-anticipated Italian GP race on Sunday. The tenth race of the 2021 season promises an exciting showdown, with Lewis Hamilton facing a unique challenge.

Hamilton, the seven-time world champion, put in a solid performance during qualifying, clocking the fifth fastest time. However, his last fast lap was not perfect, leaving him just behind his rival, Charles Leclerc, who qualified fourth.

The race stewards imposed a five-grid penalty on Hamilton due to an infraction during the Dutch GP. Hamilton ignored double yellow flags during a reconnaissance lap before the start, resulting in the penalty at the Italian GP. Originally, the penalty was ten places, but mitigating circumstances were taken into account.

Hamilton, who found out about the penalty verdict after landing back home, described it as "tough". Nevertheless, the British racer expressed satisfaction with his current performance in Monza and vowed to fight his way back from tenth place.

Hamilton acknowledged Leclerc's comfort in the car and great job, expressing his gratitude for being part of the Italian GP race. The tifosi at Monza moved him, adding to his motivation for the race.
