This acquisition, facilitated by Hammurabi & Solomon Partners, brings together two industry leaders with the potential to redefine workplace dining.

Founded in 2019 by Arjun Subramanian and Raj Jain, Platos Foods Private Limited has rapidly evolved into a digital-first platform, partnering with food brands and institutional caterers across India. With operations spanning seven cities, the company has built a reputation for simplifying workplace dining through its aggregation model and proprietary cafeteria technology.

Jyoti Kumar Chaudhary, the founder and CEO of Platos Foods Private Limited, led the transaction from Hammurabi & Solomon Partners. The firm, known for its expertise in cross-border and domestic M&A, provided comprehensive legal assistance to Elior India, including transaction structuring, legal due diligence, drafting, negotiation, and finalization of definitive agreements.

The acquisition combines Elior's global scale, culinary excellence, and operational expertise with Platos' innovative digital solutions. This alliance is projected to serve over 1,50,000 meals daily across 150+ establishments in India by 2026, offering corporates and employees a seamless blend of food quality, choice, technology, and transparency.

Elior India Food Services LLP is part of the France-headquartered Elior Group, a global leader in contract catering, on-site services, and facility management. Hammurabi & Solomon Partners, who acted as the legal advisor to Elior India, ensured a smooth and efficient execution of the transaction.

The acquisition of Platos Foods Private Limited by Elior India Food Services LLP was the target company in the strategic acquisition.
