Bosch Research and Bosch Health Campus Host AI Hackathon for Healthcare Innovations
Bosch Research and Bosch Health Campus recently hosted an AI Hackathon titled "Entrepreneurship & AI Hackathon Bosch Research@Bosch Health Campus." The event, held on July 17-18, 2025, in Stuttgart, aimed to strengthen cooperation and promote innovations in digitalization, AI, and healthcare.
The hackathon served as a platform to showcase the potential of AI in the healthcare industry. Around 35 participants worked on two tracks: AI methods in healthcare and future business models. The AI methodology working group focused on improving heart disease diagnoses using anonymized MRI data and analyzing vital parameters of patients from the sleep lab faster using AI.
Jochen Feichtinger, Head of Strategic Research Portfolio Healthcare Solutions at Bosch Research, emphasized the importance of AI in the healthcare industry. He stated that high-quality data and intelligent algorithms can save lives. Feichtinger's statement underscores Bosch's commitment to improving healthcare through AI.
Transparency and explainability were emphasized in the presentation of the approaches during the hackathon. The approaches of all teams were presented at a final pitch event to a jury consisting of representatives from BHC and Bosch Research.
