"Harry Wilson, a standout figure, offers his strategies for the ITV activities on Ebor day"
News Article: Horse Racing Tips for York's Ebor Festival
Prepare for an exciting day of horse racing at York's Ebor Festival, with seven races broadcast live on ITV. Racing Post tipster, Harry Wilson, has shared his expert betting advice and tips for the event. Wilson, who is known for his successful picks at the festival, will be featured in Racing Post content and podcasts discussing his selections.
In the Sky Bet City of York Stakes (Group 1), a seven-furlong race, Maranoa Charlie is a top-class contender. The three-year-old has won three of his four starts over 7f, including two Group 3 victories this season since being fitted with a hood. However, Maranoa Charlie's reputation may have taken a slight hit after finishing narrowly beaten in the Group 1 Prix Jean Prat.
Bowmark, on the other hand, is expected to bounce back down in trip and grade. The horse showed impressive form in his previous races but had a disappointing performance in the French Derby. Despite this, Harry Wilson tips Bowmark for the race, suggesting that the poor performance in the French Derby might not be a reliable indicator due to Bowmark's inability to settle on the front end over the longest trip he's faced.
Another horse to watch is Talismans Time, who has done well since stepping up in trip. The horse won comfortably on his handicap debut over an extra two furlongs at Hamilton and will be running in the Sky Bet Melrose Handicap at York.
Mudbir, who has been fitted with cheekpieces, is another interesting contender. Mudbir has done well since dropping to seven furlongs and followed up his Sandown success with a victory over course and distance in his last race. Interestingly, Mudbir's half-brother Mostahdaf won Group 1s in that headgear.
Shadow Dance, who improved nicely last year and finished third at Doncaster, runs off the same mark as his last race at Goodwood over an inadequate trip. Shadow Dance's form has been well advertised since, with the winner of his race going in twice in his next four starts.
Erzindjan, a huge eyecatcher on his stable debut at York, and Revival Power, who showed good speed in her recent races, including a second place in a warm conditions race, are also ones to watch.
In the Sky Bet Strensall Stakes (Group 3), a mile and a half race, Warda Jamila and Milford are expected to perform well. Warda Jamila has shaped better than results suggest on her last couple of starts, while Milford has run back-to-back career-best Racing Post Ratings since dropping back to six furlongs.
Lastly, Warda Jamila and Mudbir will be running in the Livescorebet Total Betting Experience Handicap at Goodwood and the Virgin Bet Every Saturday Money Back Handicap at Goodwood, respectively.
With these tips in mind, get ready for an action-packed day of horse racing at York's Ebor Festival!
