Hawaii Concert Society Announces 2025-2026 Season

The Hawaii Concert Society has unveiled its exciting lineup for the 2025-2026 season, featuring exceptional artists from around the world. The season, consisting of seven concerts, will take place at the UH Hilo Performing Arts Center, with all shows starting at 7 p.m.

The season opens on Wednesday, Sept. 17, with a violin and accordion duo from Poland, Karolina & Iwo. On Tuesday, Sept. 30, Scottish guitarist, Paul Galbraith, will perform, playing an eight-stringed instrument of his own design.

The Eroica Trio, a celebrated group of three women, will return to the stage in the 2025-2026 season. Despite not being identified in the available search results, their performance is a highly anticipated event.

On Jan. 14, The Valencia Baryton Project will perform music written mostly in the 1700s by Haydn. The Valencia Baryton Project will feature the baryton, a now little-known instrument that was hugely popular in the 18th century.

Soyeon Lee and Ran Dank, two pianists, will return for a concert in early April. Their performance will feature solo and four-hands music. The season will close with Joyce Yang, a perennial Hilo favorite, who will perform with Honolulu's Spring Wind Quintet.

Tickets for the individual concerts can be ordered by return mail before the first concert on Sept. 17, with orders due on or before Sept. 8. Otherwise, tickets may be picked up at the box office on the evening of the first concert. For those interested in the custom-designed series of at least four concerts, tickets are available at reduced prices.

Season tickets offer a 20% savings off box-office prices. Full season tickets are priced at $168 for general admission, $140 for seniors (60-plus), and $56 for students. Season tickets may be ordered using the form in the brochure, the printable order form at hawaiiconcertsociety.org, or the form on the HCS Facebook page.

On Feb. 18, the Parker Quartet, resident string quartet at Harvard University, will present some of Franz Schubert's late and very poignant music.

The 2025-2026 season brochure is now available for additional information. For more details, visit the Hawaii Concert Society's website or Facebook page. Don't miss out on this wonderful opportunity to experience world-class music right here in Hilo!
