Heavy congestion on the A4 due to a significant collision
In an unfortunate incident, a serious accident took place on the A4 near Görlitz, Saxony. According to reports, a 21-year-old Volkwagen driver attempted to change lanes, resulting in a collision with a 43-year-old Iveco truck driver. The impact caused the Volkwagen to overturn, resulting in two individuals sustaining serious injuries.
Details about the accident and the identities of the injured parties are currently not known. What is certain is that the A4 towards Dresden was fully closed following the accident.
The accident scene resulted in a four-kilometer traffic jam between Burkau and Salzenforst. The Volkwagen, after the collision, was completely destroyed and stood with a broken front axle on an adjacent field off the highway.
