Heavy vehicle solutions in Australia receive an upgrade as EROAD and Geotab deepen their partnership, offering NHVR-compliant services.

In a significant development, global leaders in connected fleet management solutions, EROAD, and Geotab have announced an expansion of their partnership. This partnership aims to offer a unified, single-vendor solution for heavy vehicle compliance to Australian fleet operators.

Geotab, a global leader in connected vehicle and asset solutions, serving over 55,000 customers worldwide, brings its expertise to the table. The partnership strengthens Geotab's offering, providing Australian fleets with the tools they need to operate more confidently under National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) regulations.

The new solution offers full support for NHVR requirements, including Road Infrastructure Management (RIM), Telematics Monitoring Application (TMA), and certified Electronic Work Diary (EWD) functionality. It provides real-time visibility across fleet compliance, maintenance, safety, fuel tax credit claims, fatigue, and more.

Mark Davidson, Chief Product Officer at EROAD, stated that the solution aims to simplify operations and reduce complexity for Australian fleet operators. The technology connects users to a full suite of enterprise solutions, including EROAD's Clarity Dashcam with Edge AI and Fatigue Monitoring.

Geotab holds FIPS 140-3 and FedRAMP authorisations for data security and privacy, ensuring the safety and integrity of the data processed daily from more than 4.7 million vehicle subscriptions. The solution is scalable and future-ready, catering to a wide range of heavy transport operators.

Andrew Hintz, Associate Vice President, Heavy Transport at Geotab, expressed his excitement about the partnership, stating that it strengthens their joint offering and offers a comprehensive solution for heavy vehicle compliance.

This year, Geotab is celebrating 25 years of innovation, while EROAD, a hardware-enabled SaaS company based in New Zealand, continues to expand its collaboration in the Australian heavy truck market. EROAD's platform is built on a foundation of regulatory expertise, having delivered the world's first GPS-based road user charging system in New Zealand.

The EROAD-Geotab Australian heavy transport solution will be available from August, and interested customers can contact either company to register and book a solution overview. The partnership builds on the current partnership for light commercial vehicle solutions. Geotab's open platform and network of partners offer hundreds of ready-to-go third-party solutions for fleets.

Trusted by Fortune 500 companies, mid-sized fleets, and the biggest public sector fleets globally, Geotab's solutions are at the forefront of the connected vehicle industry. EROAD delivers safety, compliance, sustainability, and efficiency solutions for complex fleets, making this partnership a significant step forward in streamlining heavy vehicle compliance for Australian fleet operators.
