High Court in Kerala demands updates on the current state of the idol within the Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple
The Kerala High Court has taken a significant step towards the preservation of the Moolavigraham, the main idol, of the renowned Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple in Kerala, India.
In response to pleas concerning defects noticed in the Moolavigraham, the court has appointed a committee to submit a report on its condition. The committee, expected to submit its report within a specified timeframe, consists of Justices Devan Ramachandran and MB Snehalatha. The judge leading the investigation into the condition of the Moolavigraham and presiding over related court hearings concerning temple management and preservation is Justice V. Anil.
The cases, collectively referred to as R Rajasekharan Pillai v State of Kerala & ors and connected case, were brought before the Kerala High Court, a court of record in the Indian state of Kerala. The court has requested reports on the condition of the Moolavigraham, and the committee's report will be considered by the court while dealing with these pleas.
