High-priced 32-inch 6K tactile monitor matches well with MacBook Pro, yet it falls short in comparison to Apple's Pro Display XDR.

The tech world was abuzz at IFA 2025 with the launch of the Clarity 6K Touch, a new premium monitor that promises to shake up the market. This 6K monitor, with its one-glass solution design supporting 10-point multi-touch input, is set to offer an exciting alternative to the Apple Studio display.

In 2025, several manufacturers, including Asus, LG, and Dell, joined the fray with their own 6K monitors, such as the Asus ProArt PA32QCV, LG UltraFine 32U990A, and Dell U3224KB. These monitors, while potential alternatives to the Apple Studio display, have yet to establish themselves as clear replacements.

The Clarity 6K Touch, marketed as the world's first 6K touchscreen monitor for Mac and Windows, boasts a native resolution of 6016 x 3384 pixels on a 32-inch IPS panel with a 16:9 aspect ratio. It covers 99% of both Adobe RGB and DCI-P3 color spaces, ensuring vibrant and accurate colours.

The monitor delivers sharpness on par with retina-quality screens and boasts an average colour accuracy of ΔE <1. It also features integrated 5W stereo speakers and a 3.5mm audio output for external devices.

One of the major selling points of the Clarity 6K Touch is its touchscreen, which enables pressure-sensitive drawing and editing directly on the screen. It is compatible with MPP 2.0 styluses and is not just a monitor for Mac devices, but also offers compatibility with Windows PCs and Chromebooks.

The monitor has a USB-C port that supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode, laptop charging, and data transfer. It also has two HDMI 2.0 inputs, a DisplayPort 1.4, and several USB ports for accessories. The monitor's viewing angles are 178 degrees, and it has a refresh rate of 60Hz.

However, the Clarity 6K Touch's brightness peaks at 400nits, which may fall short for high-dynamic-range applications. The challenge of competing directly with the Apple Studio display remains, but the Clarity 6K Touch certainly offers a compelling alternative.

The Clarity 6K Touch is scheduled for release in mid-October 2025 and is priced at £1,599.99 in the UK, €1,899.99 in Europe, $1,999.99 in the US, AUD 2,499.99 in Australia, and Can$2,499.99 in Canada. With its versatility and innovative features, the Clarity 6K Touch is poised to make a significant impact in the world of monitors.
