High School Students in NKY Chosen to Kick off Performance for Globally Acclaimed Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall in December
Northern Kentucky Students to Open for the Rockettes' Christmas Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall
A group of 50 talented students from Northern Kentucky are set to take the stage at one of the world's most iconic venues this December. Andrew Mason, who has been a leader in the Diocese of Covington for nearly 20 years, is directing the group in the world-famous Rockettes' annual Christmas Spectacular.
Mason, who took over the local theater program three years ago, has been instrumental in nurturing the students' talent and passion for music and the arts. Prior to directing theater, he served as music director at St. Anthony.
The students' selection for this prestigious opportunity reflects their talent and the dedication and growth of the community's young performers. They were selected after auditioning earlier this year by the event organizers of the annual Christmas Spectacular starring the Rockettes.
St. Timothy Catholic School, which is part of the students' background, has been a hub for their artistic development. Last year, the students performed in the production of The Little Mermaid at the school.
The performance will take place at Radio City Music Hall on December 4. The students will take the stage alongside the Rockettes, experiencing the lights, culture, and sights of the Big Apple during the holiday season.
The students will also have the opportunity to explore New York City during their trip. Tickets for the Christmas Spectacular can be purchased through the Radio City Music Hall box office.
