Highways police apprehend speeding motorist exceeding 50 km/h, resulting in the collection of a traffic fine
On Tuesday, July 8, 2025, an 18-year-old driver from Romania was fined for speeding on the A23 highway near Rellingen. The driver, who was driving a CitroΓ«n, was clocked driving at 152 km/h in an area where the speed limit is 100 km/h.
The incident occurred at around 14:00 hours. The speed check was conducted by a patrol unit from Elmshorn Police Highway and District Station. The driver was heading towards Heide.
Due to his lack of residence in Germany, the driver was required to pay a total of 668.50 euros in security deposit to the fine office of the Pinneberg district. The payment was made in the presence of the control officers.
