Honda updates the lasting Civic design
The Japanese automaker, Honda, has recently unveiled an updated version of its popular hybrid model, the Civic e:HEV. The redesign brings about a host of changes, both on the exterior and interior, as well as an array of new safety features.
Starting with the exterior, the Civic e:HEV now sports a redesigned front upper and lower grille, highlighted in black gloss, adding a touch of sophistication to its appearance. A new exterior paint option, Seabed Blue, has been introduced, providing consumers with more colour choices.
Inside the vehicle, Honda has refreshed the interior with updated designs. The Sport grade of the Civic e:HEV now boasts a 26cm/10.2-inch Digital Driver Display, offering drivers a more immersive experience. Additionally, a new heated steering wheel has been added to enhance comfort during colder weather.
Matte chrome detailing around the air vents is a new addition to the interior design, adding a touch of luxury. The Advance model of the Civic e:HEV now includes interior illumination and footwell lights, further enhancing the vehicle's ambience.
All Civic e:HEV trims now feature a new black interior roof and pillars, providing a sleek and modern look. The Advance grade also benefits from new 46cm/18-inch two-tone, diamond cut alloy wheels, available in grey, while the Sport grade models come with black wheels.
Wireless charging within the centre console is now available in all Elegance vehicles, offering a convenient solution for charging devices on the go. However, there is no available information about the lead developers or designers responsible for the design of the redesigned Civic e:HEV.
Safety has not been overlooked in the redesign. Every Civic e:HEV is equipped with the Forward Collision Warning System. This system can detect the presence of vehicles in front and is capable of identifying objects accurately, including pedestrians in both light and dark environments. It issues audible, visual, and tactile alerts for the driver when approaching with too much speed.
At the heart of Honda's e:HEV powertrain are two electric motors, providing a smooth and efficient driving experience. The system in the Civic e:HEV can switch between three distinct driving modes - Electric, Hybrid, and Engine Drive, allowing drivers to tailor their driving experience to their needs.
The Sport model of the Civic e:HEV is priced from €41,167/£35,395, while the Elegance trim starts at €39,306/£33,795. The Advance model is priced €45,006/£38,695. The auto dim feature on the rear-view mirror, previously standard in the Sport and Advance grades, is now exclusive to Elegance vehicles.
In conclusion, the updated Honda Civic e:HEV offers a blend of style, comfort, and safety features, making it an attractive option for those looking for a hybrid vehicle. With its refreshed design and advanced technology, the Civic e:HEV is poised to continue its success in the hybrid market.
