Host an Adorable Barbecue with Hamburger-Flavored Macarons for a Unique Culinary Experience

In the world of desserts, creativity knows no bounds, and the latest delight to catch our eye is the Hamburger Macarons. This unique treat resembles miniature burgers, offering a fun twist on the traditional burger.

Ingredients and Equipment

To create these culinary masterpieces, you'll need a kitchen scale, 2 baking sheets, parchment paper or silicone mats, a macaron template, a large piping bag, hand mixer or stand mixer, a sifter, rubber spatula, toothpick or cookie scribe, egg whites, granulated sugar, almond flour, powdered sugar, gel food coloring, sesame seeds, chocolate, heavy cream, and white chocolate.

Preparation

Start by making the macaron shells. Sift together almond flour and powdered sugar, setting aside for later use. In a separate bowl, whisk egg whites until they form soft peaks. Gradually add granulated sugar, continuing to whisk until stiff peaks form. Fold in the sifted almond flour and powdered sugar mixture in three parts.

Transfer the batter to the piping bag and pipe circles onto the prepared baking sheets using the macaron template as a guide. Let the macarons sit out for 1 to 2 hours or until they're dry to the touch. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C) during this time.

Once dried, bake the macarons for 15 to 20 minutes, flipping halfway through. Remove from the oven and let them cool.

While the macarons are cooling, you can prepare the chocolate and white chocolate ganache. For the milk chocolate ganache, combine chocolate and heavy cream in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave until melted. For the white chocolate ganache, follow the same steps but divide the mixture into two bowls for coloring. Dye one bowl red and the other green using gel food coloring. Chill both ganaches until thick enough to pipe.

Assembly

Once the ganaches are ready, it's time to assemble the hamburger macarons. Start by piping the chocolate ganache on the bottom shell. Next, pipe the green ganache, followed by the red ganache.

Sprinkle sesame seeds on all macaron shells and remove the templates. Your Hamburger Macarons are now ready to be devoured!
