Hot weather anticipated for Friday in Houston, with dry conditions. The weekend, however, might see an uptick in rainfall.
The Gulf Coast is keeping a close eye on a developing tropical system, as reported by Your Gulf Coast Weather Authority. Currently, the system is not posing a threat to Texas, but it could become a concern for the Lesser Antilles by the middle of next week.
A tropical wave, Invest 91L, is moving west-northwest over the central Atlantic from near the Cape Verde Islands. This system is expected to develop into a tropical depression near Texas this weekend, potentially named Tropical Storm Gabrielle. However, at this time, it does not pose an immediate threat to the region.
In the meantime, residents can look forward to cooler air and lower humidity, as a front expected on Monday is set to bring pleasant mornings to all. This front could also treat us to another round of showers, with the tropical system providing slight influence of tropical moisture, particularly on Saturday and Sunday, when we have our highest chance of showers.
