Volksbank im Bergischen Land Holds Successful Annual Meeting
In a gathering at the Kulturzentrum Klosterkirche in Remscheid-Lennep, the representative assembly of Volksbank im Bergischen Land convened for their annual meeting. Despite challenging conditions, the cooperative bank achieved a very good operating result, as reported by management board members Andreas Otto and Christian T. Fried.
The meeting began with the discharge of the management and supervisory board. All decisions made during the meeting were done unanimously. The new chairman of the supervisory board (Aufsichtsratsvorsitzender) is Marcus Otto, while Thomas SchΓ€fer, managing partner of Solida-Werk Werkzeugtechnik GmbH + Co. KG, continues in his role as both the new and old chairman of the supervisory board.
The elected representatives spoke for the approximately 11,000 members of Volksbank im Bergischen Land, who are the owners of the bank. The annual accounts of the bank were approved during the meeting, and the balance sheet total is approximately three billion euros.
The dividend to be paid to members of Volksbank im Bergischen Land is six percent, a testament to the bank's strong financial performance.
