House Fire in FW Bocholt leaves resident injured

In the heart of Bocholt, a residential building on Weberstraße was the scene of a fire on August 6, 2025. The Bocholt Fire Department was called to the location under the code "Fire - Lives in Danger" at 10:55 AM.

Upon arrival, all residents had evacuated the building. A team from the fire department, equipped with breathing apparatus, entered the affected apartment to extinguish the fire. The source of the fire is yet to be determined.

The residential fire required 19 personnel from the professional fire station, the voluntary fire brigade, and the rescue services with six vehicles. To ensure the basic protection of the city area during the operation, additional personnel from the voluntary fire brigade were on duty.

Tragically, the resident of the affected apartment suffered severe injuries. She was treated on-site by the rescue services before being transported to a hospital. The current condition of the resident is not known at this time.
