House helper in Bijnor alleged to have urinated in a glass and contaminated utensils is identified as a Hindu, not a Muslim.
In a shocking turn of events, a video, currently viral on social media, allegedly shows a house help named Samantra Devi, from Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh, urinating in a glass and spraying it on utensils in a Hindu man's house.
The incident, which occurred in the Nagina police station area of Bijnor, specifically Zaheer Mohalla, was reported by multiple media outlets. Screenshots of the viral video are available online.
According to an X post dated 22 August 2025, Nagina Circle Officer Anjani Kumar confirmed that the local police had taken action regarding the inappropriate act. The SHO of Nagina police station further clarified that the house help in the video is not named Sakeena, as reported in some news reports, but Samantra Devi, a Hindu.
Samantra Devi had been working in the house of bullion trader Satyam Mittal for about ten years. The family noticed a change in her behavior, as she did not allow anyone into the kitchen while working. Suspecting foul play, they installed hidden cameras, which captured Samantra Devi urinating in a glass.
The family handed Samantra Devi over to the police on 21 August 2025. During interrogation, Samantra reportedly said she acted due to mental instability and expressed shame over her actions. However, she could not clearly explain her motive for the alleged actions.
It is important to note that no formal complaint was filed by the house owner. The police registered a case against Samantra, and she was later granted bail.
To verify whether any communal angle was involved, the SHO of Nagina police station confirmed that the accused is not a Muslim, but a Hindu named Samantra.
Despite numerous media reports, there is no verified public information available about a housemaid from Bijnor appearing in a video urinating and splashing on devices in a Hindu man's house. The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of maintaining trust and respect in domestic help relationships.
