Fire Breaks Out at Altyn Bulak-2 Residential Complex in Almaty

A fire has erupted at the Altyn Bulak-2 residential complex in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The complex, built by the company BI Group, is currently undergoing evacuation.

The fire report was received at 23:58, and the emergency services swiftly responded. Over 70 personnel and 18 units of equipment are involved in the operation to combat the fire. Despite obstacles caused by parked private vehicles, fire trucks and aerial ladders have been deployed at the fire site.

The fire has been reported to have occurred in two blocks of the complex, specifically on the 6-7th and 17-18th floors. Smoke removal vehicles are being used to reduce smoke concentration in the stairwells.

As of now, around 20 people have been rescued from the fire, and over 120 people have been evacuated. The Emergency Department press service noted that the evacuation and rescue numbers are still approximate.

The operational headquarters has been established to handle the fire situation. The fire is still ongoing, but it was brought under control at 01:10. Unfortunately, no information regarding the cause of the fire has been provided.
