The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared Covid-19 as a global pandemic, significantly altering life as we have grown accustomed to. In response, Arjun Yadav, a Communication Design student, has designed an innovative project aimed at creating a visual identity for the Coronavirus.

Arjun Yadav's project, organised by IIT-Bombay for the D'Source Corona Design Challenge in 2020, emphasises the importance of communication in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic. The project is designed for easy identifiability across various media and surfaces, offering a platform for creating actual change through design during the pandemic.

The project's design emphasises practicality and efficiency in communicating information about Covid-19. It aims to create a rich visual language that is easily recalled after repeated viewing, making it ideal for global use. The visual identity is designed to be versatile, allowing it to be used in diverse forms to communicate vital information about the virus.

Arjun Yadav believes it is essential to have a visual identity and language to relay relevant information about Covid-19 to the masses. His project, the result of extensive research and experimentation with form and design, was selected as a winner for the D'Source Corona Design Challenge by IIT-Bombay.

The D'Source Corona Design Challenge, a competition for designing a visual identity for Covid-19, focuses on creating a design that can be practically used for efficient communication worldwide. IIT-Bombay was involved in organising the challenge, and the institution congratulates Arjun Yadav for his outstanding achievement.

Arjun Yadav's project offers a unique approach to the pandemic, highlighting the power of design in shaping public perception and facilitating effective communication. It serves as an example of how design can be used as a tool for change, even in challenging times.
