Illicit Pharmaceutical Heist: Escapade of Medications Between Poland and Hungary
In the heart of Hagen's city centre, a dramatic incident unfolded last Friday evening. A 41-year-old woman, known to the police, was caught in the act of attempting to force open the sliding door of a local drugstore.
According to reports by Police Hagen, transmitted via news aktuell, a witness called the police emergency number at approximately 10:40 PM to report the suspicious activity. Upon arrival, the police officers found the alarm system both visually and audibly active. The intruder, heavily intoxicated, attempted to flee the business through the sliding door, but it closed again, trapping the intruder.
The drugstore, equipped with an alarm and fogging system, sprang into action. The fogging system located in the entrance area of the drugstore was also triggered, further hindering the intruder's escape. The system, designed to disorient and deter intruders, proved effective in this instance.
The stolen goods, eight bottles of perfume with a total value of approximately 850 euros, were secured by the police. The woman, with no fixed address, was temporarily taken into custody.
The Hagen Criminal Police will handle the further investigation. The police who prevented the burglary and arrested the woman are the Hagen police (Polizei Hagen), though specific details about the unit or officers involved in the incident are not currently available.
