City Festival Lineup Announced
Get ready for a weekend of entertainment as the city festival approaches! Here's a sneak peek at the exciting lineup of events and performances.
Friday, July 6
- The festival kicks off with Family Day, where a single admission grants access to ride attractions twice from 2:00 PM to 6:30 PM. Don't miss the 40-meter high chain flyer, Ferris wheel, and bumper cars at the Fun Mile.
Saturday, July 7
- The Main Stage - Market Square will host a variety of performances throughout the day. At 4:00 PM, the GSV Eintracht our city Music Corps will kick things off with a mix of music for every musical taste. The Brothers Grimm School will follow at 16:00, and the Erich KΓ€stner School will entertain with their school band, choir, and dance at 15:15. The GSV Eintracht our city Turnen Tanzgruppe 1+2 will perform a combination of dance, movement, tumbling elements, and fun to current music at 5:00 PM. The TSG our city Dance Groups will present a small insight into their offer for small and large dancers at 2:45 PM. RSV Elgershausen e.V. will also participate in wrestling on the Main Stage - Market Square at 4:00 PM.
- Over at Stage [34225] powered by GLINICKE, various DJs will play Salsa, Latin, Merengue, 80's/90's/00er, and Techno/Trance music starting at 7:00 PM. Marvin Holl will perform Schlager music on both the Main Stage - Market Square and Stage [34225] at 4:00 PM. ROUGE, a Schwalm rock band, will take the stage at 7:30 PM, followed by Markus Zosel, a singer-songwriter and author, at 8:00 PM.
- The Bdks Dance Group Beedees will perform at the Market Square Stage at 15:00, and Tanz- und Musikschule ENJOY will present a program filled with energy, diversity, and surprise at 6:45 PM. The Robbie Experience, Europe's best Robbie Williams tribute show, will perform on the Main Stage - Market Square, followed by a party with DJ RenΓ© M Bieler at 8:00 PM.
- Kindernland, located near the cinema on Friedrich-Ebert-Allee, offers interactive activities for children and daily crafting opportunities. Face painting will be available from 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM.
Sunday, July 8
- The day begins with an ecumenical service on the Market Square Stage at 11:45 AM.
- At 1:30 PM, the Ballet School our city will present parts of their upcoming full performance "Carmina Burana" on the town hall stage, featuring international ballet competition winners. Dance Studio Dance United will perform Hip-Hop from ages 4 to adults on the Market Square Stage at 4:00 PM. Grossenritter Carnevals Gemeinschaft (GCG) will give a sneak peek into their training on the Market Square Stage at 4:15 PM.
- The Main Stage - Market Square will feature FANTAFOUR - The Fantastic Four Tribute Band at 8:00 PM. Wild Night, a party rock band, will perform rock classics by Bon Jovi, AC/DC, U2, and others earlier in the day at 7:00 PM.
- Su-Min, a traveling singer-songwriter and guitarist, will perform at KLIMPERKASTEN powered by DSV at 8:00 PM. Soehrezappen will perform on the Klimperkasten Stage at 2:00 PM, and Sing Ute will offer a participatory singing project for kindergarten children at 7:45 PM on the Market Square Stage.
- KSV our city Cheerleading will show a mix of stunts, pyramids, and acrobatic elements on the Main Stage - Market Square at 7:00 PM. Reinier Irrsin & Band will conclude the city festival program with a concert on the Main Stage - Market Square. The time for their performance is still to be determined.
