Trina Storage Upgrades Smart Integration Factory in Chuzhou, China

Trina Storage, a global leader in energy storage solutions, has completed a significant upgrade to its smart integration factory in Chuzhou, China. This upgrade marks a long-term commitment to innovation, quality, and delivering customer value at scale.

The factory, now equipped with advanced digital systems, has fully integrated digitalization into its infrastructure. This transformation has boosted overall production efficiency by 50%, and testing speed by more than 60%.

Trina Storage's Global Product President, Ni Lili, spearheaded this project. The upgrade focuses on end-to-end automation and digitalization across core processes, enhancing the performance, flexibility, and traceability of the manufacturing processes.

The factory's traceability framework, a key aspect of the upgrade, reinforces safety and reliability at every stage. It covers process design, equipment maintenance, energy use, and logistics, enabling full product tracking and early risk detection. This framework also strengthens the factory's intelligent manufacturing capabilities and system integration capacity.

The level of automation at the factory has increased by 23%, with the integration of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) further enhancing visibility and agility in daily operations. This integration enables real-time data flow and intelligent coordination across key functions such as production, logistics, and quality assurance.

Trina Storage currently has 16 GWh of production capacity for energy storage systems. With this upgrade, the company plans to scale up its production capacity to 25 GWh by the end of 2025. By the end of 2024, Trina Storage's energy storage systems are expected to have cumulative shipments surpassing 10 GWh.

In 2025, annual shipments of Trina Storage's energy storage systems are projected to reach 8-10 GWh. This ambitious expansion is part of Trina Storage's continued investment in manufacturing excellence and global infrastructure to support the rapid adoption of energy storage worldwide.
