The accident happened around 19:15, with the senior driving his car on Hohlgasse from Longericher Straße. For unknown reasons, the driver veered off the road at the Contzenstraße junction and hit the pedestrian on the sidewalk. The Mercedes involved in the accident broke through a hedge and came to a stop in the front garden.
