The city of Solingen is set to welcome a new entertainment venue next week, as "Bob's Rock and Bowl" prepares to open its doors at Grünstraße 14-16. Originating from Augsburg, Bavaria, this gastro chain has branches in Bochum, Düsseldorf, and now Solingen-Ohligs.

Daniel Kwiatkowski, a representative from "Bob's Rock and Bowl", has emphasised the excitement of bringing "Bob's" to Solingen. The venue is designed to cater to every age group and fits well with the concept in Ohligs.

The management of the new Ohligs branch is headed by Sascha Kraemer, with Yasmin Neubauer as his deputy. The renovation of the former Hitzegrad rooms turned out to be more extensive than expected, but the team has worked diligently to prepare the venue.

"Bob's Rock and Bowl" will offer 1,100 square meters of usable space for guests, including a spacious area for billiards as a recreational activity. The venue will have 199 seats and will be open daily from 12 noon, keeping the kitchen open late into the evening.

The new event gastronomy on Grünstraße complements the existing gastronomic ensemble around the redesigned roundabout heading towards Lennestraße. Around 30 employees will take care of the well-being of the visitors at "Bob's Rock and Bowl".

"Bob's Rock and Bowl" aims to provide a fun and enjoyable experience for young people in Solingen, with its unique offering of Kneipen-Bowling, a new bowling variant featuring shortened lanes.

The investment in the Ohligs branch of "Bob's Rock and Bowl" amounts to a high six-figure sum. The opening was postponed several times due to renovation issues and fire protection concerns, but responsible persons are confident that the wait will be worth it.

The former Hitzegrad supermarket on Ohligs' Green Street closed more than a year ago, and the transformation of the space into "Bob's Rock and Bowl" is a testament to the revitalisation of the area. The opening of "Bob's Rock and Bowl" is expected to happen next week, bringing a new lease of life to Solingen's entertainment scene.
