Incidents of burglaries, arson, and vehicle and garage fires have been reported in Heilbronn city and county.
Multiple Incidents Reported Across the Region
A series of incidents, including fires and burglaries, have been reported in various parts of the region over the past few days.
Fire Incidents
On Sunday evening around 10:30 p.m., a Volvo caught fire in the stationary traffic on the A81 near Abstatt. The fire department was quickly on the scene with a total of 34 people and several vehicles, and they were able to successfully extinguish the fire. It is suspected that the fire was arson, as the perpetrators are believed to have let the air out of two tires of the owner's vehicle.
Earlier in the day, a garage fire occurred in Unterheinriet. The fire department was at the scene with 26 personnel and five vehicles, and they managed to put out the fire. The cause of the fire is believed to be a technical malfunction.
In the early hours of Saturday morning, a garden shed in Widdern was set on fire. The fire department was at the scene and was able to extinguish the fire. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Burglaries
Unknown perpetrators gained access to a residential building in HΓΆlderlinstraΓe through a ground floor window. They ransacked two rooms and removed various pieces of jewelry and silver coins. However, for unknown reasons, the perpetrators abandoned their attempt and left the property without stolen goods.
On Sunday evening, there were break-ins in apartments in Talheim. The perpetrators failed to force open the terrace door and a window, and then threw a stone through a window pane. They ransacked all the rooms in one of the apartments, causing estimated property damage of around 50,000 euros. No specific person or persons were named as suspects in the available police reports or news sources.

In a separate incident, unknown individuals attempted to break into a single-family house in Bad Wimpfen on Saturday evening. The owner of the property received a notification on his mobile phone that someone was on his property. However, the owner was able to extinguish the fire without the fire department, as it was limited to a small garden shed. The damage caused by the forced entry amounts to around 1,000 euros. The highway maintenance department Ludwigsburg was on site for securing and cleaning the incident location in Abstatt, while the highway was closed for a short period of time. The fire was prevented from spreading to the adjacent house. No one was injured during any of the incidents.
