Individual apprehended for numerous instances of physical attacks
In the heart of Hagen-City, on August 28, 2025, a confrontation took place in Tuchmacherstraße that has since been under investigation by the local police.
The accused in this case is a 45-year-old man, who is currently in custody. According to reports, he is facing charges of dangerous bodily harm following an altercation that left a 41-year-old man injured.
The incident began when the accused allegedly refused to use money given to buy him alcohol. This refusal led to an argument, which escalated into a physical altercation. The 45-year-old man is accused of striking the 41-year-old in the face with his fist and a beer bottle.
The 41-year-old man was taken to a hospital for outpatient treatment following the incident.
The Hagen Police took the 45-year-old man into custody due to existing detention orders. However, he has since refused to make statements to the police. The police president of the Hagen Police, the official authority investigating the event, is Police Director Ursula Schönberg, who has been in office since May 5, 2025.
It is also worth noting that the 45-year-old man was already involved in two other incidents of bodily harm on the same day. He was also required to provide a blood sample as part of the investigation.
