Individual perpetually fails to recognize his own repeated appearances
In an incident that occurred on August 25, 2025, at Halle (Saale) Central Station, the Federal Police made a significant recovery. A 57-year-old man was stopped by the authorities, and his bicycle was found to contain stolen goods.
The stolen items included a jacket worth approximately 700 euros. The theft occurred on platform four at the central station.
The Federal Police strongly advised passengers to keep an eye on their luggage and not leave it unattended. They reiterated this advice, urging passengers to always keep their belongings in sight.
The 57-year-old man was identified as a possible suspect in the theft. He received a theft complaint from the Federal Police and was advised to cooperate fully with their investigation.
Interestingly, the 57-year-old man was not the only individual involved in a suspicious incident at the station on that day. A 29-year-old Afghan man, who had been involved in an incident on August 20, 2025, where he fled through the station and a high-speed train, dropped a knife, resisted arrest, and was taken into custody by police for identity verification and multiple offenses including weapons law violations, was also suspected in a separate luggage theft.
A 52-year-old man reported the theft of his luggage at the same central station on August 25, 2025. The stolen items have been secured by the Federal Police, and the investigation is ongoing.
