Theft at Halle (Saale) Central Station: 52-Year-Old's Luggage Stolen
On August 25, 2025, a 52-year-old man reported the theft of his luggage at Halle (Saale) Central Station. The incident occurred when the man was travelling from Halle Steintor to the Central Station and left his belongings unattended on platform four. An unknown person took his cloth bag, containing items such as a jacket worth around 700 euros.
In a separate incident, a 57-year-old man was checked by the Federal Police at the same station and allowed to continue. Later, he was found near the west exit of the station with the stolen goods. The stolen items, including the jacket, were found in the 57-year-old man's bicycle bags. As a result, he received a criminal complaint for theft.
The stolen goods have been secured by the Federal Police, but they are yet to be returned to the 52-year-old man. The Federal Police Inspectorate Magdeburg, which is handling the case, is urging everyone to keep an eye on their luggage at all times and keep it with them.
