Industrial blaze causes significant property damage in Heusenstamm, with no reported injuries
In the quiet town of Heusenstamm, a fire broke out in a local building, causing significant property damage but thankfully, no injuries were reported.
The incident occurred when firefighters were called to the scene, with the alert escalated to "Fire in a building." Upon arrival, they found the building to be empty and the fire raging. Firefighters forced their way into the building, using a hose and heavy protective gear to bring the fire under control.
Six firefighters, equipped with foam and a thermal imaging camera, ensured that the fire was completely extinguished. Many burned items had to be removed from the building, including two car batteries and a refrigerator.
The exact amount of property damage is unknown at this time, but it is estimated to be in the thousands of euros. The investigation into the cause of the fire is currently ongoing, with the police leading the investigation. The public prosecutor's office is also involved in the investigation following the incident.
At the peak of the operation, a total of 26 personnel were involved, including three fire engines, one command vehicle, and the duty officer's vehicle. No information about the potential cause of the fire has been released yet.
