On Friday, 1st August, there will be a detour in traffic heading towards Hannover from Kirchhellener Street due to repair work on the A2 highway at the Bottrop junction.
The repair work, scheduled for the night, will result in the closure of the on-ramp to the A2 from Kirchhellener Street. Traffic will be diverted via the Oberhausen interchange during this period.
The repair work at the Bottrop junction will not allow traffic from Kirchhellener Street to join the A2 in the direction of Hannover from 9 pm on Friday, 1st August, until 5 am on Saturday, 2nd August.
Despite the closure, the A2 highway itself will not be affected, and traffic will continue to flow uninterrupted on the A2 and the Oberhausen interchange. Emergency and rescue vehicles will also be able to pass through the construction site during the repair work.
The exit to the A2 towards Hannover that will be closed is the exit Herzebrock-Clarholz. The repair work is expected to be completed by Saturday, 2nd August, early morning.
