Inmates hospitalized following incident with Polish law enforcement
In the early hours of Wednesday, July 16, 2025, a traffic accident occurred at the Seligenstadt interchange on the A45/A3 autobahn heading towards Aschaffenburg.
According to the South-East Hesse Police Headquarters, the accident involved a VW Polo. The 22-year-old driver was travelling from Giessen towards Aschaffenburg when, at around 1:15 AM, the vehicle veered off the road to the right and ended up in a bush.
Upon arrival, the first responders found that the 22-year-old passenger was already in need of CPR. Both individuals sustained injuries; the driver had serious injuries, and the passenger had life-threatening injuries. They were both taken to nearby hospitals.
The total damage amounted to around 5,000 euros. An expert was called in to assess the extent of the damage.
