Innovative identity authentication method with biometric elements now receives a patent
New Patent Granted to ISX Financial EU for Revolutionary Remote Identity Verification Technology
In a groundbreaking development, ISX Financial EU has been granted a new patent (European Patent 3850508) by the European Patent Office. This patent concerns a revolutionary technology for remotely verifying a person's identity, promising to redefine the landscape of identity verification in today's digital world.
The technology, developed by ISX IP, a subsidiary of ISX Financial EU, aims to create a continuous, secure, and tamper-proof method of remote identity verification. It allows for the use of various biometric data, including facial, voice, iris, retinal, gait, heart rate, or fingerprint features, for identity verification.
Nikogiannis Karantzis, CEO and Chairman of ISX Financial EU, hailed the invention as the future of identity verification. He stated, "This invention represents a significant leap forward in ensuring secure and seamless remote user experiences, addressing one of the most pressing challenges in today's digital world: identity verification fraud."
The patent technology provides a broad nature, allowing for the reconfiguration of various parameters, such as the use of autonomous drones for identification and verification. It could potentially be used as an alternative to current market solutions for video "Know Your Customer" (KYC) and could expand to serve sectors beyond those currently targeted, thanks to its potential combination with the patented technologies of BeEmotion.ai.
ISX Financial EU plans to bring this technology to market at scale, aiming to ensure strict compliance with customer due diligence regulations while providing secure remote identity verification with an enhanced user experience. Karantzis also mentioned plans to further develop the technology internally and collaborate with partners to enhance its capabilities.
However, the patent does not specify the exact applications outside of financial services where autonomous drones could be used for identification and verification. Nor does it provide details on the specific technologies that will be employed for biometric data recognition and comparison. It also does not mention any specific partners or collaborations in its implementation.
Despite these gaps, the patent technology ensures strict compliance with customer due diligence regulations and provides data processing devices capable of comparing these biometric features with stored data, photographic images, and/or video sources for identity verification.
This new patent is a significant step forward for ISX Financial EU, complementing their investment in BeEmotion.ai and marking the beginning of a new era in identity verification. The patent was approved on August 6, 2025, and it has a duration of 20 years from the filing date, September 12, 2019.
