In a recent tech show in Berlin, IFA, two new robot vacuum concepts were unveiled - Eufy's Marswalker and Dreame's Cyber X and Cyber10 Ultra. These innovative designs aim to address the challenge of overcoming stair navigation that has been facing robot vacuums.

Eufy's Marswalker, scheduled for release in the first half of 2026, resembles a space rover and is designed to work specifically with Eufy's Omni S2 robot vacuum. This hands-free cleaning solution allows the Marswalker to carry the vacuum between floors, providing a seamless cleaning experience. The Marswalker is also confirmed to work with the Omni S2 robot vacuum.

On the other hand, Dreame's Cyber X looks like a construction vehicle and is still a concept, with no details about its sale or compatibility announced. However, it may act as an autonomous shell for other robots to hitch a ride. The Cyber X features large treads that adjust to roll the vacuum forward and navigate stairs.

The Dreame Cyber10 Ultra, designed to compete with the Roborock Saros Z70, was also showcased at the event. Unlike the Cyber X, it resembles neither a space rover nor a construction vehicle. The Cyber10 Ultra is equipped with a mechanical arm to pick up items and sort socks, aiming to help with clutter. It can handle objects weighing up to 17 ounces, compared to the Saros Z70's 10-ounce limit. However, no information was provided about its compatibility with other robot vacuums.

The performance of the mechanical arm in practice is reported to be hit or miss, with improvements observed through software updates. As for the Cyber10 Ultra's arm functionality, it is not confirmed to be autonomous, unlike the potential for the Dreame Cyber X to act as an autonomous shell for other robots.

It's anticipated that the Eufy Marswalker will be released in 2026, while no pricing details have been announced for the Cyber10 Ultra, but it is expected to launch in early 2026. Both Eufy's Marswalker and Dreame's Cyber X were showcased at IFA, providing a glimpse into the future of robot vacuum technology.
