Inquiring about the Dresden Bus Station?
In the heart of Dresden, the bus station at Wiener Platz remains silent and overgrown with vegetation. The area, which was planned for a much-anticipated bus station, has been left in a state of inactivity since the initial plans for construction in 2023.
The investor behind the project, VALUES Real Estate, has not yet initiated construction, but remains committed to the development. Ingo Seidemann, a representative from S&G Development, the project's developer, has confirmed that discussions regarding financing for the bus station are ongoing.
The planned bus station is situated between the Simmel building and the railway track, and the area next to the Simmel building is also overgrown with greenery. The targeted completion year for the project was initially 2026, but has since been pushed back.
Seidemann announced that updates regarding the bus station project will be provided by the end of September. The building permit for the project was granted in early 2024, but the construction has yet to commence.
Meanwhile, the bus station area at Wiener Platz remains a quiet corner in the bustling city. Nothing else appears to be moving in the bus station area, with the bus station and the surrounding space currently overgrown with vegetation.
Despite the delay, the investor and developer remain optimistic about the project. The bus station project at Wiener Platz in Dresden is still privately funded, and the community looks forward to the day when the bus station will once again become a hub of activity in the city.
