"Inside a captivating Karaoke session at Netflix's 'KPop Demon Hunters' event in Toronto"

In the heart of Toronto, the Toronto Film Festival played host to a special event for the animated feature, KPop Demon Hunters, on Thursday night. The event, a celebration of the film's success and musical aspects, was an intimate affair with a few dozen guests.

The creators of this musical masterpiece, Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans, were in attendance, along with producers Aron Warner and Michelle Wong. Kang, a Toronto native and cast member of the film, expressed her gratitude for the film's global success, attributing it to the authentic depiction of Korean culture and its distinct animation style.

The film revolves around a riveting rivalry between Huntr/x, a K-pop girl group who fight demons by night, and the Saja Boys, a K-pop boy band with a secret: they are secretly demons themselves. The Saja Boys' performances, including several of the movie's hits, such as the current worldwide No. 1, 'Golden', were met with thunderous applause.

The event featured a lively karaoke session where Rei Ami, Audrey Nuna, and Kevin Woo took to the microphone. The performances showcased a mix of songs from the film and popular tunes like ABBA's "Dancing Queen", The Killers' "Mr. Brightside", and a duet of "What's This Feeling?" from "Wicked".

The party also offered a unique cocktail menu with drinks named after hit songs from the film. Finger food, including fresh spring rolls and garlic bread, was available for guests to enjoy.

With the film's success, it could potentially position itself in the Oscar race for best animated feature. As the night came to a close, the cast and filmmakers celebrated the film's achievements, looking forward to what the future holds for KPop Demon Hunters.

For those who haven't had the chance to watch it yet, KPop Demon Hunters is available on Netflix, ready for you to immerse yourself in its captivating world of music, action, and suspense.
