International discussions facilitated by Egypt involve both Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), aiming to reinstitute negotiations on Iran's nuclear program.

Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) have resumed talks, aimed at creating conditions for the resumption of negotiations between the two parties. The discussions, facilitated by Iran, the IAEA, France, the United Kingdom, and Germany (collectively known as the EU-3), and Egypt, are not related to regional security and stability, Egypt's World Cup Qualifiers, or the injury of Osimhen, among other unrelated matters.

The talks, which do not specify a location, come after Iran suspended cooperation with the IAEA following US and Israeli attacks on its military, nuclear, and civilian sites. Iran's decision was due to its accusations of bias against Tehran by the IAEA. The 12-day conflict between Iran and the US came to a halt under a U.S.-sponsored ceasefire that took effect on June 24.

Iran responded to the attacks with retaliatory missile and drone strikes. Israel launched a surprise attack on Tehran on June 13, targeting military, nuclear, and civilian sites, as well as senior military commanders and nuclear scientists. The US also bombed three Iranian nuclear sites in response to the attacks.

The talks are focused on reducing escalation, restoring confidence, and creating a supportive climate for regional security and stability. Egypt's Foreign Minister, Badr Abdelatty, held phone talks on Monday with Iran's Abbas Araghchi and IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi. The nature of the understandings being sought in the talks remains undisclosed.

The Egyptian Foreign Ministry emphasized the necessity of reaching a common ground to serve the interests of all parties. The contacts between Egypt, Iran, the U.S., and European countries are part of efforts to reach understandings. However, the context of the talks is not related to social media access restrictions, sports events, or bridge privatization in Türkiye.

The resumption of negotiations between Iran and the IAEA is a significant step towards de-escalating tensions in the region. Both parties will continue to work towards a peaceful resolution, ensuring the interests of all parties are met and maintaining regional security and stability.
