In a tragic turn of events, a three-vehicle crash occurred in Caernarvon Township on Saturday night. The incident involved a 2014 Jeep Cherokee, a 2025 Ram 1500, and a 2021 Volkswagen Jetta.

According to reports, Dustin C. Stewart, 47, of Reading, was driving the Jeep and was under the influence of alcohol before the crash. The Jeep drifted out of its lane while maneuvering through a curve and struck the back of the Ram and the front of the Jetta.

As a result of the crash, five individuals were injured, two of whom were trapped in their cars. All five were taken to Reading Hospital for treatment, but the severity of the child's injuries, who was in Stewart's vehicle, remains unknown.

The Jetta slid off the road into a ditch, the Jeep drove off the road and stopped in a nearby yard, and the Ram spun around and stopped in the road. The crash happened on Twin Valley Road near Ash Road.
