In the world of automobiles, two Chinese brands, Chery and Jetour, have made significant strides recently.

The Chery Cowin Sedan, a new addition to Chery's lineup, will be debuting at the Shanghai Auto Show in April 2025. This sedan shares its platform with the Riich G3, as announced by the company. Interestingly, Chery uses the 'Cowin' name for its cheapest cars, making the Cowin Sedan an accessible option for many. However, specific details about the engine of the Cowin Sedan are yet to be revealed.

Meanwhile, the all-new Chery QQ3 EV, part of the QQ series revival, has already made its debut in China. This electric vehicle is expected to contribute to Chery's ongoing efforts in sustainable mobility solutions.

On the other hand, Jetour has started the pre-sale of its off-road SUV, the Zongheng G700 PHEV. This vehicle boasts a powerful 751 horsepower and a impressive 970mm wading depth, making it a formidable contender in the off-road SUV market.

In a notable achievement, Chery has reported exporting more vehicles than domestic sales in August 2025, marking a significant milestone for the brand.

These developments underscore the continued growth and innovation in the Chinese automobile industry, with both Chery and Jetour making strides in their respective segments. The Shanghai Auto Show in April is shaping up to be an exciting event, with the debut of the Cowin Sedan adding to the anticipation.
