The city of Jilin, in Jilin Province, China, is set to witness the return of a familiar name in the automotive industry. Tongtian, a former incarnation of the Jilin Jiangbei Machinery Plant, is set to unveil the all-new Tongtian Glow at the Beijing Auto Show.

First debuted at the Chengdu Auto Show in 2004, the original Tongtian Glow was a clone of the Aygo, a compact city car produced by Toyota. The previous model, which rolled off the production line in the same year, was known for its sinister look, with a loose front design that gave it a unique character.

The old Tongtian Glow was equipped with a 0.8 engine and had a maximum speed of 120km/h. It was available for sale at a price of 37,800 RMB. However, production of the model stopped at some point, and there is no information available about what has become of the girl from the picture of the old Tongtian Glow at its debut.

As for the new Tongtian Glow, it is expected to come with 0.8 and 1.0 engines, but no specific details about its engine specifications have been released yet. The new model is also expected to have a different design from the Aygo, aiming to offer more originality compared to the old model.

However, despite the improvements, the new Tongtian Glow lacks the same level of uniqueness that the old model possessed. Only time will tell if the all-new Tongtian Glow will be able to capture the same attention and appeal as its predecessor.

The new Tongtian Glow will make its debut at the Beijing Auto Show, a significant event in the Chinese automotive industry, where automakers showcase their latest innovations and creations. The exact date of the debut has yet to be announced.

In conclusion, Tongtian is set to make a comeback with the all-new Tongtian Glow, a resurrected version of the popular compact city car. While details about the new model are scarce, it is expected to offer improvements over the old model, while maintaining the same level of uniqueness that made the original Tongtian Glow a success. Stay tuned for more updates as we approach the Beijing Auto Show.
