Fang Cheng Bao Unveils New Hybrid SUV and Expansion Plans

Chinese automaker Fang Cheng Bao has made waves in the automotive industry with the unveiling of their new hybrid SUV, the Fang Cheng Bao Leopard 5, and their ambitious expansion plans.

The Leopard 5 stands on a new hybrid architecture called DMO (Dual Mode Off-road), offering a mixed range of 1,200 km and a zero-to-hundred acceleration time of just 4.8 seconds. With a power output of 680 hp and a torque of 760 Nm, the Leopard 5 is a force to be reckoned with. It also boasts a Devialet sound system for an unparalleled driving experience.

The Leopard 5 will be one of the highlights of the Chengdu Auto Show, starting on August 25, and will be available for a starting price of 400,000 yuan (54,840 USD).

In addition to the Leopard 5, Fang Cheng Bao has revealed a concept car called the Super 8, a bigger version of the Leopard 5 with an adjusted exterior design. The Super 8 features retractable door handles, cameras instead of side-view mirrors, a blocky design, and huge overhangs.

Fang Cheng Bao's model line is set to expand, with the Super 8 forming the basis for the upcoming Leopard 8. The line will also include a mysterious Leopard 3, adding to the anticipation.

Fang Cheng Bao's expansion plans also include the opening of workshops in the city of Fangchengbao, China, and the launch of about 100 stores in 60 cities across the country.

Indirect confirmation of Fang Cheng Bao's plans to launch overseas came with the Super 8 concept car being displayed with the inscription 共赴出海, which can be translated as 'Go to overseas markets together'. This move signals the automaker's ambition to make a mark in international markets.

The Fang Cheng Bao Leopard 5 and the Super 8 concept car are the latest offerings from BYD, a company known for its innovative approach to automotive technology. With these new models, Fang Cheng Bao is set to redefine the SUV market, offering a blend of power, efficiency, and style.
