In the bustling automotive landscape of China, two new vehicles are making waves – the Cowin E5 and the all-new Chery QQ3 EV.

The Cowin E5, a compact SUV, is set to make its grand entrance at the upcoming Shanghai Auto Show next month. With a wheelbase of 2600mm and dimensions of 4580x1760x1483, the Cowin E5 promises a spacious interior. Powered by a 1.8-liter engine, the vehicle produces 132hp and 170nm of torque, propelling it to a top speed of 185km/h. The transmission system is a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT), ensuring smooth acceleration and fuel efficiency.

The Cowin E5 will be launched by its parent company, Chery, who has also unveiled the all-new Chery QQ3 EV as part of the QQ series revival. Meanwhile, the Jetour Zongheng G700 PHEV off-road SUV has started pre-sale. This vehicle boasts a wading depth of 970mm, making it capable of navigating through challenging terrains. Interestingly, Chery has reported exporting more vehicles than domestic sales in August 2025, indicating a growing global presence for the brand. The Cowin E5, which was launched for delivery in China starting in 2016, is likely to contribute to this growth.
