Investigative Body Continues Examination
The Baden-Württemberg Police has welcomed 154 newly trained officers, marking a significant boost to the force's personnel. This addition comes after a 2.5-year training in the middle police service, as part of the largest recruitment campaign in the police's history, launched in 2016.
Thomas Strobl, the Interior Minister, expressed his pleasure at the arrival of these well-trained officers. He emphasised the police profession as a responsibility for ensuring security and maintaining a democratic society, for which the police officers deserve thanks and recognition.
Strobl described the police profession as a calling that sets it apart, offering an exciting, varied, and challenging work environment with numerous development opportunities. The Baden-Württemberg Police is renowned for its attractive and popular employment status, boasting good working conditions and modern equipment.
Since the launch of the recruitment campaign in 2016, over 13,000 young people have been won over for training with the state police of Baden-Württemberg. By 2026, the police force aims to train and deploy a number of officers sufficient to achieve a personnel increase of over 1,000 police officers since 2016.
The new officers will be stationed at police stations and deployment units across the country, ready to serve and protect the communities they are a part of.
