Investigators are seeking additional testimony and clues following the assault in Solingen.
In a shocking incident, a knife attack took place at the Solingen city festival celebrating the city's 650th anniversary on the evening of August 23rd. According to reports, an unknown male suspect stabbed several attendees with a knife near a performance stage.
The attack occurred at 21:37, and despite immediate first aid, three people were tragically killed. Six other individuals were seriously injured. The suspect fled the scene in an unknown direction after the attack.
On August 24th, the Wuppertal police received reports of the incident, and a manhunt ensued. The suspect was eventually apprehended later the same day. However, as of now, there is no information in the search results about the identity of the suspect arrested in connection with the attack.
