Authorities in Poland are pursuing additional suspects in relation to a case involving a 20-year-old currently in police custody.

Investigators continue their hunt for additional perpetrators, focusing on a 20-year-old currently in detention, in relation to an ongoing case.

In a significant development, a large-scale commercial fraud case has been uncovered in Germany, with two suspects, aged 20 and 26, being detained by the authorities. The suspects, who are currently under investigation for their suspected involvement in commercial fraud offenses in multiple federal states, were brought before a judge at the Aschaffenburg Regional Court on November 13, 2024.

The joint press statement regarding the case was released by the Public Prosecutor's Office Darmstadt and the Hesse State Police Headquarters on the same day. The statement, originally transmitted via news aktuell from the Hesse State Police Headquarters, revealed that the 20-year-old main suspect, identified as Harald S., is suspected of fraudulently transferring 53,000 euros.

Indications found during the investigation suggest that the suspects may have committed further commercial fraud offenses in Thuringia and North Rhine-Westphalia. Intensive cooperation between investigating authorities ultimately led to the case being uncovered.

The investigation is ongoing, and further details may be released as the case progresses. Affected persons are asked to contact the investigators on 06151/969-0.

During the investigation, several apartments, including those in Alzenau and Mörfelden-Walldorf, were searched on November 13, 2024, at the request of the Public Prosecutor's Office in Darmstadt. The suspects are also suspected of fraudulently obtaining a caravan in Messel, Germany, in July 2024.

At least one female accomplice is believed to have been involved in the suspects' activities. The Darmstadt Criminal Police (K21/22) are looking for further potential victims who may have been approached by the 20-year-old suspect using the alias "Petros Vassios".

The Hesse State Police Headquarters Press Office can be contacted at Klappacher Straße 1464285 Darmstadt, phone number 06151 / 969 - 13 001, mobile number 0151 / 504 11956, or via email [email protected].

The overall investigation into the commercial fraud case is still ongoing. The exact nature and scope of the commercial fraud activities are not specified in the press statement. The judge ordered the detention of the 20-year-old suspect, and the suspect was taken to a detention facility.
