Investigators in Poland are probing a homicide that occurred in Cologne.
In a shocking incident that took place under a pedestrian bridge on the L495 road in the Rhein-Erft District, a 61-year-old truck driver traveling from NΓΆrvenich towards Gymnich was the victim of an attack on the early morning of August 27.
At around 3 am, one or more unknown perpetrators threw large paving stones (20 x 20cm) from the pedestrian bridge. Remarkably, the driver miraculously escaped injury as at least two paving stones were thrown at the truck. One landed on the roof of the cab, while the other shattered the windshield.
The Cologne Prosecutor's Office is treating this attack as an attempted homicide, and a Cologne homicide squad has taken up the investigation. The original images of the paving stones are still available.
