Island Launches First Charity Fundraising Platform, Dubbed JerseyGiving
In the heart of the Channel Islands, Jersey is set to take a significant digital step forward in its charity sector with the launch of JerseyGiving, a new fundraising platform designed to revolutionise the way charities and good causes raise funds.
The brainchild of RaceNation CEO, Will Golder, JerseyGiving is being hailed as "the future of fundraising in Jersey." Scheduled for official launch on the 23rd of September, this innovative platform aims to "power all of the island's fundraising and crowdfunding."
JerseyGiving was built in collaboration with local charities and companies such as RaceNation and SportsGiving. One of the key collaborators, Jersey Hospice Care, has been working on Jersey's first dedicated fundraising platform for several weeks now. Cheri Strudwick, Director of Income Generation for Jersey Hospice Care, expressed her delight about the collaboration, stating that JerseyGiving takes their longstanding commitment to Jersey one step further.
The new platform is designed to work easily and seamlessly for supporters while improving charity efficiencies. It is being promoted as a tool that will enable charities and good causes to "raise more money, more easily."
The Jersey Gift Support scheme, which has already enabled charities to automatically raise 25% more on eligible donations through RaceNation's "Jersey Gift Support" digital declaration, is being integrated into the giving process on the new platform.
Ms. Strudwick considers the new platform an important digital step for Jersey's charity sector. She looks forward to discussing the new platform with other charities in more detail. Mr. Golder stated that Jersey now has a dedicated platform for all island fundraising and crowdfunding.
Interestingly, all donations made on the Hospice website have been via the JerseyGiving platform for the past six weeks, indicating a successful testing phase. However, the name of the person who will officially launch the new platform on September 23 remains undisclosed.
JerseyGiving was created with a focus on local giving and donor engagement. It is being hailed as an "important digital step" for Jersey's charity sector, set to redefine the landscape of fundraising in the island.
