Jaguar Unveils Its First Electric SUV: The i-Pace
On March 1, 2018, Jaguar will officially reveal its first electric vehicle, the i-Pace electric SUV. The much-anticipated unveiling will take place live from the UK office at 6pm.
The i-Pace electric SUV is set to make a significant impact in the market, with its starting price of Β£58,995 falling mid-way between the Tesla Model X 75D and 100D. This pricing information is the best indication we have yet of the i-Pace's price in the UK.
The entry-level S model of the i-Pace will come equipped with 18" alloys, LED headlights, and a Meridian Sound System. Moving up the range, the SE model will cost around Β£80,000 and will include 20" wheels, adaptive cruise, leather, and a power tailgate. The i-Pace HSE model will set you back around Β£86,000, offering Meridian Surround, power seats, and heated seats. For those seeking additional features, the i-Pace First Edition will cost Β£94,000 and will include a Panoramic Roof, HUD, and Air Suspension.
All i-Pace models are expected to have a 90kWh battery and a range of 300 miles. During cold weather testing in Sweden, the i-Pace was able to fast charge to 80% in just 45 minutes. This impressive charging speed, coupled with its impressive range, positions the i-Pace as a strong competitor in the electric SUV market.
The i-Pace electric SUV is expected to start at around Β£72,000 (β¬82k) in the Netherlands. However, no specific price has been announced for the high-performance version of the Jaguar I-Pace Electric SUV in the Netherlands.
With the i-Pace's arrival in production guise, few surprises are expected. The i-Pace's ability to accelerate from 0 to 60mph in 4.5 seconds, its impressive range, and its competitive pricing make it an exciting addition to Jaguar's lineup. The i-Pace electric SUV will be available for sale in 2018.
