Joanna Gaines from Waco prepares to debut a new cooking series titled Magnolia Table: At the Farm
Joanna and Chip Gaines are set to return to television screens with two new shows premiering on September 7. The historic Cottonland Castle, a large neglected property built in 1890, will be the focus of the spin-off series "Fixer Upper: The Castle" on Food Network, HBO Max, and Magnolia Network. This show marks the Gaines' return to renovation projects, following their successful HGTV show, Fixer Upper, which ran from 2013 to 2018.
Meanwhile, Joanna will be returning to the kitchen for a new season of her cooking show, Magnolia Table. The new show, titled Magnolia Table: At The Farm, will focus on baking and will be available on the Food Network, HBO Max, and Magnolia Network. The Gaines family kitchen will be featured in the new show, with episodes showcasing cherished family recipes and seasonal favourites.
In a departure from their usual renovation projects, the new show will range from quick snacks to Sunday treats. Joanna has previously featured quicker and cheaper renovations on the show Mini Reni, which streams on HBO Max and the Magnolia Network.
Chip Gaines has addressed the criticism received by a previous show, Back to the Frontier, for including a same-sex couple. In a post, Chip expressed disappointment that "non believers" have never been confronted with hate or vitriol until they are introduced to modern American Christian culture. Chip emphasised the importance of modern American Christian culture talking, asking questions, listening, and learning, rather than judging first.
In May, Joanna released the full season of the series Mini Reni, which streams on HBO Max and the Magnolia Network. The couple has also launched several business ventures including Magnolia Market in Waco, the Hearth and Hand home furniture and decor line with Target, and the Magnolia Network, co-owned by the couple and Warner Bros. Discovery.
The six-episode season of Magnolia Table: At the Farm will premiere on September 7, alongside Fixer Upper: The Castle. Fans of the Gaines family are sure to be excited for these new shows, which promise to bring together their love for renovation and cooking.
