A 40-year-old Lithuanian man was arrested at Erfurt Central Station on Monday evening by the Federal Police. The arrest was due to a violation of the Narcotics Act for which a warrant for arrest had been issued.

The man, who was wanted by Thuringian justice for the same offence, had been unable to pay the imposed fine for the violation. Despite his efforts to raise the money by other means, he was unsuccessful.

The location of the arrest and the violation of the Narcotics Act were at Erfurt Central Station. The man will serve a ten-day custodial sentence at the penal institution in Tonna.
